A type of troll

Santaclaus borealis: A type of troll. The tusk ivory of the Santaclaus borealis was traditionally used to carve toys for good children at Christmas. Overhunting led to population decline, and by the end of the 19th century the species was believed to be extinct. In 1926, the Amundsen expedition discovered several groups living on the Arctic pack ice. S. borealis is listed as endangered on the IUCN Red List. Merry Christmas!
